Vince Doesn't Know He's Sick

Vince is a happy healthy little boy.  He has not experienced any symptoms of the brain tumor.  If it wasn't for the MRI of his head for that other bump, we'd never know about it.

Here he is in the exam room, while we
were waiting for DrSecondOpinion to come in.
He is excited to be drinking a "juice box" of milk.
He is in a very “helpful” little stage where he insists on helping with everything.  During our last visit to Children’s Hospital, when we went to see DrSecondOpinion, he insisted on pulling his baby brother in the wagon.
Here is Vince in the main lobby area of Children’s Hospital.
He insisted on pulling his brother and refused to ride.

He does not know he is sick.  He doesn't seem sick at all.

  1. I read your other blog and from it, learned of Vince's journey. You are obviously doing an amazing job as a mother. He regards this as an adventure, not an illness. Children are blessed with incredible abilities to cope. He has angels around him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I took those pictures at Children's Hospital on January Ninth. We saw another doctor, but he didn't really give us a second opinion(http://vincesrecoveryjourney.blogspot.com/2014/01/not-second-opinion.html). I am going for a real second opinion this week.

  3. I came across your blog via the barn-hop, then here via your blog. I am praying for you and your precious Vince. I have a boy a year older, Vincent was going to be his name, but at the last moment we changed it to Joseph. We are crazy catholics too :) I'm not sure if it matters, and I'm sure it won't help you feel any better, but my mil has had a tumor in her brain for years, and since it isn't growing its fine, I guess. We blame her craziness on it (ha). I have you in my thoughts and prayers.
